There are a few things you need to be aware before purchasing any vertical shaft engine to ensure it fits your mower.
- Bolt Pattern
Our engine has Briggs & Stratton, or Honda bolt pattern. You can see refer to the images in the description for the schematic of the bolt pattern. If you have a B&S or Honda engine, the bolt pattern will be a perfect match. The bolt holes on the engine will require thread tapping. - Output Shaft Size
The output shaft on our engine is 1” (25.4mm). Most ride on mower engines with HP ratings between 10 to 18 hp have 1” shafts. But please make sure this is the same for your mower. - Engine Displacement
The displacement of the new engine shall not be less than your current engine to avoid any underpower issue. - Physical Size
If your mower has only limited space for the engine to fit into, you will need to check the physical dimensions of our engine carefully before purchasing. An illustration of the physical dimensions can be found in the images in the description.
Please note this is a universal fitment engine and some modifications to the engine or mower might be needed, including but not limit to the muffler, exhaust system and/or electrical wiring. If you are not familiar or confident to do so, please consult small engine mechanic before purchasing, installing and using.

REPLACEMENT FOR GREENFIELD EVOLUTION
By: GEOFF G on 7 March 2023I HAVE A GREENFIELD EVOLUTION 2000 RIDE ON MOWER. THE ORIGIONAL B & S 13.5 HP DROPPED DEAD SO I PURCHASE A PEV-182 ( 18HP IKETA MOTOR. IT'S A BIT OF A PIG IN A POKE BUYING A NEW MOTOR BUT I TOOK THE PLUNGE . THE MOTOR ARRIVED WELL PACKED AND WAS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED. THE OUTPUT SHAFT WAS A PERFICT FIT FOR THE PULLIES.THE BOLT HOLES LINED UP BUT I HAD TO THREAD ONE BLANK AS THE ORIGIONAL HAD FOUR BOLT AND NUT FITTINGS BUT THE IKETA HAS ONE BLANK THAT HAS TO BE BOLTED FROM UNDERNEATH SO IT HAD TO BE TAPED AND THREAD ( NO BIG DEAL ). IN ORDER TO MAKE A NEAT FIT I MODIFIED THE BONNET AND MOUNTING BRACKET. I ALSO ALTERED THE FOOT REST AS IT WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE OIL FILTER. WIRING WAS EASY AS THE FITTING INSTRUCTIONS WERE EASY TO FOLLOW. THE MOTOR STARTED EASY AND HAS PLENTY OF POWER AND IS VERY SMOOTH, I NOW CUT THE GRASS WITH THE MOTOR ONLY SLIGHTLY ABOVE IDLE. SO FAR VERY HAPPY

Great engine, especially for the price.
By: Bill Watts on 21 January 2022I repowered a Greenfield ride-on mower. Previous engine was an Intek 13.5hp. This engine matches the mounting position and everything lines up exactly right. Too big for the bonnet, so I will have to sort out something for that, but I'm going without for now. I had to cut off the wiring plug and put on new terminals to attach the wires, but following the original wires made that easy to do. The increase in power is amazing, the mower no longer slows down when cutting long, wet grass. Even though it's a bigger engine, it's much quieter than the previous one. Starts pretty much instantly and is very smooth when it's running. I'm very happy with the purchase and I highly recommend this engine.
